Our valuable preventive services include oral hygiene
education, professional dental cleanings with in-office topical
fluoride applicaiton, prescription of home fluoride (topical and systemic)
as needed, space maintainers, and sealants.
We take time with each child, designing
a specific home oral health care program based on individual
assessment. We provide age-appropriate cleaning aids and fun flavors
of floss and toothpaste. We dispense 'Fire Fly' toothbrushes, the newest
craze in children's dental care. These brushes have a timed,
flashing light handle that allows your child to recognize the time it
takes to brush well.
Restorative Dentistry
State-of-the-art equipment and techiques are standard
here at Dentistry for Children. We have ultra quiet drills and virtually
painless injection techniques to make children comfortable in the dental
chair. We are skilled in the classic techniques of
restorative dentistry, and we are front runners in the newest and best
cosmetic treatments.
Treatment Environments
Comfortable, anxiety-free treatment is always our goal at Dentistry for Children. To make this possible we offer a variety of treatment environments and child management techniques. We have developed a unique language and approach to introduce children to dentistry. Drills are "electric toothbrushes" and shots are never seen or mentioned. Laughing gas (Nitrous Oxide) is used to ease anxiety and facilitate positive experiences. We also offer out patient anesthesia treatments utilizing the dental procedure center at The Children's Hospital.
Early Orthodontics
Often times there are benefits to early intervention of
dental growth and development. We can recognize and address these needs
with simple procedures such as expanders and retainers.
FREE Infant Oral Screenings
To emphasize our strong commitment to prevention of
dental disease in children, babies from 0 to 18 months and their parents
are introduced to our practice with a complimentary cleaning and
examination. This appointment is designed to be educational and
enjoyable, focusing on the development of healthy
habits.
