Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. We
are specially trained for the unique dental health needs of children. Beyond the
dental degree, our professional education includes completing a two-year
residency program at a children's hospital. That advanced specialization
includes training in growth and development, child psychology, oral-facial
trauma management, treatment of patients with special needs and medically
compromising conditions, and treatment utilizing conscious sedation and general
anesthesia.

Our Philosophy Our focus
is on developing young patients with excellent oral health and habits as well as
positive attitudes toward dental care. We emphasize prevention and early care.
We recommend a child's first dental visit at 12 months of age with check-ups
every 6 months thereafter. We want children to require as little treatment as
possible, but when that care is needed, we want them to experience as little
anxiety as possible. We provide a child-friendly staff and environment with an
age-appropriate approach. In addition, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas),
sedation, and general anesthesia for treatment.
